Iman (Misagh Zare) has been promoted to Investigator, a stepping stone to becoming a Judge in Iran—a position of power that requires unquestioning loyalty to the authoritarian regime. As protests against compulsory hijab laws sweep the city, his wife Najmeh and their two daughters express sympathy for the demonstrators, prompting Iman to interrogate them as though they were lawbreakers. As Iman becomes a staunch defender of an oppressive system, Najmeh faces a critical choice: to stand up to her husband and the state or remain silent.
